Original Library Building

Our re-modeling project is complete. We opened up in the new area at 101 E. Farmer on December 27, 1999. We expanded from floor space of 875 sq. feet to over 2000. The extra space, the lighting, new shelving and everything else is fabulous!!!

We also have 2 computers that are available for the public use. Our internet policy is available at the library and must be followed for the continued access of the computers.

We have about 14,500 books in the library. We purchase new adult books monthly, and try to purchase books that will actively circulate. This includes fiction, non-fiction, local interest covering a variety of interests. We also offer subscriptions to 37 different magazines and periodicals. The bulk of purchasing of juvenile books comes early in the spring so we have new books for the participants of the summer reading program. At present time we have 102 videos available for loan, these are mostly childrens and do-it-yourself subjects.

We had about 3,400 people visit the library last year. Last year we circulated 10, 982 items.
